2022 Round-up
A brief summary of some key points from 2022.
2022 Round up
Happy New Year from all of us at NTS, we wish you all the best for the year ahead! We’re back after the Christmas shutdown and ready for another year of maintaining and improving turbines to make sure you’re getting the most out of yours. If you have any existing or new issues with your turbine(s), or if you’d like to make a new enquiry then please get in touch.
Agricultural Shows
It has been great to be back to the shows again this year after Covid had put a stop to them. They’re always well received by local communities and it’s nice to see so many faces, both familiar and unfamiliar.
This year we managed to attend the Highland Show, Great Yorkshire Show, Turriff Show, Dounby Show, County Show and the Scottish Ploughing Championship in Wick. We hope to see you at an agricultural show in 2023!
Social Media
We’ve finally taken the plunge and joined social media. You can now follow us on Facebook, we’ll try to keep it up to date with what we’re up to and the odd competition to keep it interesting.
Workshop Repairs and Upgrades
It has been another busy year in the Workshop with turbines in the shop for overhaul and upgrade. If your turbine is in need of major work, please get in touch.
Blade Rebalancing
As certain turbines are ageing, some have been found to have issues with absorbing and retaining water. This can cause issues with both performance and in time damage the foundation of the turbine. We can rebalance your blades and have them back to their best. If you suspect there is an issue with your turbine base bolts or a noticeable wobble in your tower, please get in touch for more information.
Orkney Tractor Run
Following the success of last year's run, it has turned into an annual tradition for the County which we're delighted to support and join in on. With proceeds donated to charity, you can take part to by visiting the Just Giving page and helping where you can. There's also a short video of part of the run on our Facebook page.
